Die Welt ist ein Würstelstand (theatre in german language)

by Manuela Linshalm

If you need advice, you need a sausage!
She's cordial, grumpy and very Viennese: Resi Resch, the owner of the best sausage stand in town. She has an answer to all of life's questions. And her customers are in urgent need of her advice. The court counsellor, for example, who hasn't known what to do with his second half of a sausage since his wife died. The American tourist who is looking for Lipizzaner horses and gets horse liver cheese. Yes, Resi even speaks "foreign". Everyone comes to her, except vegetarians. The homeless man, the estate agent, the rat in the dustbin - all brought to life with virtuosity by Manuela Linshalm and accompanied by Heidelinde Gratzl on the accordion.
The Schubert Theatre has dedicated itself entirely to puppet theatre for adults and delights audiences with its morbidly humorous evenings and poetic visual journeys. "Die Welt ist ein Würstelstand" is a social story from the street. Melancholic, humorous, spicy. Because Resi Resch serves up every sausage with plenty of punch, a good dose of Viennese pragmatism and a philosophy as hot as pepperoni.
