Youth theater: Elisa and the swans (in german language)
For 3rd to 5th grade primary school
Take courage, Elisa!
Two jugglers climb out of a man-sized suitcase and tell the story of Elisa and her brothers: In a faraway land, where the swallows live in winter, lives a king with his six sons and his daughter Elisa. When a sorceress wins the king's heart and becomes his wife, she quickly turns Elisa's brothers into white swans. What can Elisa do to free her brothers from the curse? She is not allowed to speak or laugh for six years and must weave six shirts for her brothers so that they can become human again. Elisa flees from the royal palace into the dark forest, where all kinds of dangers lurk. Swans are already flying high above the treetops. And far below rides a handsome prince. Elisa would love to call out to him. But she mustn't, otherwise it will all be in vain. Will she manage to save her brothers and attract the prince's attention? Listen for yourself!
Loosely based on the Grimm fairy tale ‘The Six Swans’ and adapted by Hans Christian Andersen, the jugglers' play tells a story of friendship, trust and courage.
