Youth theater: Die Schneekönigin (in german language)

For the 1st to 4th grade of primary school
You can only see well with warmth in your heart
Gerda and Kay are inseparable. But when Kay gets a piece of glass in his heart, Gerda doesn't recognise him. The shard comes from an enchanted mirror and turns Kay's heart to ice. He now finds everything he sees ugly. In winter, Kay is abducted by the Snow Queen to her icy castle. Gerda goes in search of her friend. On her journey through the bizarrely beautiful but icy world of the Snow Queen, she experiences many adventures and has to pass tests. At the end of her journey, Gerda is confronted with the loneliness that the reign of cold brings to the world in the form of the Snow Queen. Once the icy queen herself was a girl who was ridiculed and ostracised because of a special gift.
Andersen's fairy tale shows how much cold and cruelty can hurt, but also how much affection and childlikeness can protect against it. The elaborately designed musical by the Theater mit Horizont is a plea for love and understanding and warms every heart.
